Locking I2C connectors http://www.i2cchip.com/shop.html#MMLOCK10 Locking I2C female-on-pcb connectors are now available from the webshop.

These are ideal where there is vibration during operation or transport, such as robotics, transport and so on. They only add a little extra width to the footprint and no extra height. They lock onto the standard male-on-wire plugs and cables.

These are almost impossible to obtain, due to Tycos MOQ of 2500pcs. Thanks to Cornell's Robotics lab, we have a reel for your convenience.

Virtual Comport Addressing in Realterm 2.0.0.65 The USB port has been a nuisance on some systems, because the COM number depends on which USB hub/socket you plug into.
Now you can use the virtual comport name

The I2C2PC port can be selected as "\VCP0"

Also for I2C2PC users

  • MAX127 I2C ADC control, fix range&sign bit
  • HEXCSV2DEC commandline utility added to Realterm installer

Convert HEX data files to decimal data easily. Data Formatting appnote updated http://www.i2cchip.com/pdfs/BL233_Data_Formatting.pdf Release 2.0.0.65 of Realterm includes the first release of the HEXCSV2DEC utility. This commandline utility will convert the uppercase hex fields of a CSV file to decimal. The Data Formatting appnote has been updated. It is now very easy to collect CSV data files, and convert the hex values to decimal for easy browsing and importing into Excel, OpenOffice and other applications. Floats, Quoted strings and explicit bcd/decimal numbers are passed through. Look in the Realterm program directory. It is a commandline utility.
